CCC Statement of Principles on Child and Forced Labor

CCC certification strongly believes it has a responsibility to use employment practices with the highest legal and ethical standards. This responsibility is most important regarding the member company’s policies on the minimum age and working conditions of its own employees and those of suppliers.

This Statement of Principles on Child and Forced Labor is an expression of CCC commitment and the expectations we have for members worldwide. Also, we strongly encourage our members to require their own suppliers to adhere to these principles. Since we will seek to make these principles as relevant and effective as possible, these may be amended from time to time.

  1. CCC Members
The company and its employees do not engage in or condone the unlawful employment or exploitation of children in the workplace or the use of forced labor. Companies will only hire and continue to employ personnel strictly in accordance with national, state and local laws and regulations. All temporary workers and all third party-employed workers who perform work on company premises will meet these minimum-age requirements. CCC also explicitly prohibits the use of forced labor -- any work or service that a worker performs involuntarily under threat of penalty.

  2. CCC Member Suppliers (based across all continents)
CCC also will not tolerate use of unlawful child labor or forced labor in the manufacture of products it sells and will not accept products or services from suppliers, subcontractors or business partners that unlawfully employ or use child labor or forced labor in any manner. The Principles express the specific expectation that licensees, external manufacturers and other suppliers shall not employ or use in any manner individuals below the minimum employment age set by national laws and regulations where suppliers (and their suppliers) are doing business.
